(UU) Background: Reference is made to the request dated 11 November 1977 from the House Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCAA) regarding Agency Files on Martin Luther King, HSCA) (HSA) (regarding Agency files on Martin memorandum as Tabs and B are the requested documents. These documents have been sanitized for sources and methods information and third party information, but they have not been the same as the following paragraphs specify in more detail all the contents of the documents in the file of Dr. King. 3. (UI) Tab A-1 contains copies of the Office of Security originated documents in this file of the Dr.King. Tab A-2 contains a document which originated in the Directorate of Operations (DDO) which should, therefore, be referred to the DDO for possible release to the HSCa. file. A-3 describes the "third Agency" documents in Dr. Kings file. 4. (IU) Tab B-1 Contains the only Office of Security originated document in Mr. Ray's file. Tab B -2 contains DDO originated documents which should be referred to the DDO for possible release in the HScA. TabB-3 is a list of the Department of State documents in file.
