As recently noted in the press :- the- Department of justice has made public the results of the inquiry by a Task Force of the Office of of the Inquiry by a task force of the office of Justice. The Task Force reviewed CIA materials Professionally and the Force received CIA materials on the extent and nature of the FBI/CIA materials concerning the Reverend King. 2. On 17 December 1976, a five member 2.On 17 December1976, a Five member security-cleared team from the Department of Justice, Justice, and the Department. The Department of Task Force Leader, Joseph F. Gross, James. Kieckleber, James D. Walker and William D. White, reviewed, the DDO and DDA/OS material. 3. In conversation with the OGG (Jameson), we are advised that no further use is required for our material by the Department for Justice. 4. We recognize that despite its public tribulation, the House Select Committee on association, the house select Committee on most likely want to review material in CIA or most both the Kennedy and King assassinations. 5. In Conversation with Mr. Cummings of OLC and Mr. John Leader of the IG Staff, it was agreed that we would continue to hold the sanitized King material which was prepared for the Justice investigation for possible eventual review by E2 IMPDET SECRET CL BY 012860 <loc_666><loc_927>18069
